Here at Paradigm Governance Partners, we are we are delighted to announce that we have recruited an experienced Cayman-based independent director into our ranks who will complement our existing expertise and skillset.

Miles Perryman is a professional independent director with a strong legal background. Over the past 14 years, he has served on the boards of hedge funds, managed accounts and general partners of private equity structures.

Miles has a thorough knowledge of the Cayman Islands legal, regulatory and governance regime and assisted investment managers with the implementation of AIFMD, FATCA & CRS, the Volcker Rule, Beneficial Ownership Register rules, Economic Substance Law, and the Private Funds Law.

Before moving into the field of fiduciary and governance services, Miles practiced tax law in the corporate tax department of the global law firm, Allen & Overy. In 2007 Miles moved to the Cayman Islands working initially for Deutsche Bank’s fiduciary services division and subsequently with another Cayman governance services firm.

Miles has also served as a director of a large managed account fund platform encompassing some 50 structures with c.$3 billion aum. Fund strategies included CTAs, quant, global macro, and long/short equity. In addition, Miles served as a director of numerous funds and general partners to private equity structures, focusing in particular on energy and infrastructure.

Miles is a permanent resident of the Cayman Islands, a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales (non-practising), a registered director under the Cayman Islands Directors Registration & Licensing Law 2014, and a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association. Miles holds a law degree from the University of Warwick, a Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law and is an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute.
