Cary Marr
Cary Marr serves as a professional independent director on the boards of hedge funds, private equity funds, traditional long-only funds, and investment management companies. He is well versed in the governance and regulatory issues facing investment managers with more than 25 years of experience in the offshore funds sector between the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. In addition, Cary has an extensive background in audit, accounting, financial reporting and fund administration.
Before joining Paradigm, Cary spent 7 years at International Management Services Ltd., where he held the position of Fund Director. He provided directorship services to a multi-billion asset under management, diverse book of clients spanning the offshore fund spectrum.

Laura McGeever, FCIS, CAMS, CAMS Audit, Acc. Dir., is a Director at Paradigm Governance Partners, a Cayman Islands based provider of governance and fiduciary services to the investment funds industry. Ms. McGeever is a Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute (FCG) (formerly the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Advanced Certified AML Specialist-Audit (CAMS Audit) and holds the Accredited Director designation granted by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Canada. Laura serves as an independent director on the Boards of alternative investment funds including hedge funds, crypto funds, venture capital, fund of hedge funds, and private equity vehicles (including governance and advisory committees). Ms McGeever has over 17 years professional experience spanning governance, AML, regulatory compliance, and fund operations. She is a registered Professional Director pursuant to the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Act, 2014.

Before moving into the field of fiduciary and governance services, Miles practiced tax law in the corporate tax department of the global law firm, Allen & Overy (1998-2007). Miles provided structuring and transactional advice to a range of clients from financial institutions, multi-national corporates to fund managers and entrepreneurs, advising on a wide variety of transactions.

Miles Perryman, LLB, Acc. Dir., is a professional independent director employed with Paradigm Governance Partners Limited. Since 2007, Mr Perryman has worked in the field of corporate governance / fiduciary services and served on the boards of hedge funds, managed account funds, general partners of private equity structures and structured finance vehicles.
Mr Perryman initially practiced tax law in the corporate tax department of the global law firm, Allen & Overy LLP (1998-2007). In September 2007 Mr Perryman moved to the Cayman Islands to work for Deutsche Bank (Cayman) Limited (2007-2019) in its fiduciary services division and subsequently with another Cayman governance services firm.

Michelle O’Mahony, BSc, Acc. Dir., she is a Fund Director at Paradigm Governance Partners, a Cayman Islands based provider of governance and fiduciary services to the investment funds industry. Ms. O’Mahony was qualified as a certified public accountant in 2005 and holds the Accredited Director designation granted by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Canada. She is a Professional Director registered pursuant to the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Act, 2014.

She also functioned as the Corporate Secretary for the financial institution’s governing bodies.

Javiera Aguayo
Prior to joining Paradigm, Ms Aguayo worked at TMF (Cayman) Ltd where she performed the AML/KYC onboardings and assisted with the review and implementation of local and group policies. Prior to joining TMF, Ms Aguayo worked at EFG Bank (Cayman) and was responsible for the transaction and KYC monitoring and the vetting, approval, monitoring of new and existing clients. She also managed all the AEOI tax reporting for the bank and its subsidiary to ensure compliance.

Ms. Garnett is an Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Paradigm Governance Partners, a Cayman Islands based provider of governance and fiduciary services to the investment funds industry.
Prior to joining Paradigm, Ms. Garnett worked for 7 years with Cayman subsidiaries of Canadian Imperial Bank of Canada (CIBC), working as an executive assistant and corporate secretary to their Cayman entities. Before that she worked at International Management Services Ltd, working in fiduciary services, supporting Fund Directors in servicing their clients.

George Mazin is an independent consultant and legal advisor providing compliance advice, expert witness services and director services to fund managers and law firms.
Mr Mazin retired from the full-time practice of law at the end of 2019. For the entirety of his legal career, Mr Mazin practiced corporate law in New York or New Jersey, and continues to be a member of the Bar in good standing in each of these states. Mr. Mazin’s practice was focused on a broad range of matters in the representation of private investment funds and investment advisers, as well as other financial services firms.
